- Python 3.7+
- A GateData.AI API key (create one in My Account)
- The requests library (
pip install requests)
Step 1: Set Up Authentication
import requests
BASE_URL = "https://api.gatedata.ai/api"
headers = {
"Authorization": "Bearer gd_live_xxx",
"Accept": "application/json",
}Step 2: Fetch Company Profile
Use GET /api/v1/fundamentals/profile for equities such as NVDA or AAPL.
ticker = "NVDA"
url = f"{BASE_URL}/v1/fundamentals/profile"
params = {"symbol": ticker}
response = requests.get(url, headers=headers, params=params)
profile = response.json()["data"]
print(profile["name"], profile.get("sector"), profile.get("market_cap"))Step 3: Fetch Financial Statements
